It's New Years In Key West Florida

Key West love's to party. And when better to party than on New Year's Eve! Locations across town offer their own unique version of the time honored tradition of lowering something special as the clock winds away the last seconds of the year. How about a big conch shell lowered from the roof of Sloppy Joe's Bar. Or see a Pirate Wench lowered from the mast of a schooner at the Historic Seaport. Then there's Sushi, a local drag queen celebrity, lowered from a Duval Street balcony, riding a huge high-heeled shoe.

Duval Street is a carnival that lasts until dawn. It is home to such famous name bars as Sloppy Joe's, Hog's Breath Saloon, and The Bull and Whistle, a three story night spot with Adam and Eve's on the rooftop. Rick's Cafe, which sometimes has karaoke, Irish Kevin's bar, that has a live interactive entertainer most nights. The bars are as rich in history here as the town itself. With all the restaurants, bars and gift shops galore, Duval Street is alive and pulses with activity. Happy New Years Everyone!
